Pot O' Gold

I absolutely loooooooooove giving party favors, and gifts. :) Some people may say that people look for something in return when they gift, and I DO!!! My return is that I get overwhelmed with so much JOY and HAPPINESS just knowing that I’ve done something to bring a smile to someone’s face for that moment. You never know what someone is currently, or has gone through, and sometimes just a little gift goes a long way… Like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. ;)

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES:

1. Mini Cauldrons

2. Any gold candy of choice

3. Toothpicks

4. Shred of choice (I opted for the metallic)

5. Scissors

6. Glue

7. Rainbow, Clover, and Flag Image cutouts……No worries! I’ve got you covered! The images I used for this project are below…. Just print them out on card stock… (Before you print, make sure you print both and original and mirror image.)

lET’S BEGIN!!!

Step One:

You have the option to paint your toothpicks, or leave them plain. I opted to not paint. Print and cut out your images. Then glue them to the toothpicks.

DIY TIP: To personalize, before you print, you can add a name, quote, or saying to the flag tag. For this project I decided to add the Irish Blessing. :)

DIY Tip:

If you decide to add the flag to your calderon, you have the option to punch a hole in one of the corners, and string your ribbon through. Wrap around the calderon, and tie a bow at the end .

You can also opt to apply a toothpick to your flag and add to the cauldron with the rainbow and clovers, as I decided to do. :)

Step Two:

Once your cutouts have dried, it’s time to assemble your favors. First, add the shred to the bottom of the cauldron, then add your candy of choice, complete your favors by adding the rainbow and clover sticks in the candy pile…..
